3 things I will do if I win:
Icon: Three people hold hands. One is wearing pants, one is wearing a skirt, and one is using a wheelchair. The label reads "Civil Rights." 1. Poverty among people with disabilities is around 40% I will argue for a cabinet level, system wide Oregon Poverty Board, along the lines of Vermont’s successful program, to finally, comprehensively address poverty programming in Oregon.
Icon: A person using a wheelchair, and a person wearing a skirt and using a cane, with the label "Senior Rights."2. We misuse limited state resources, with not enough long-term retraining needs. I will focus on 30 year old workers in the year 2030. I will build partnerships across state lines. I will fight for the forgotten thousands who work in temp positions.
Icon: A physician's staff with the label "Medicare." 3.Working to protect our basic health care victories, for today and the future. We will finally look at the thousands of tomorrow’s health risks that are an all-too accepted part of every day’s modern work places.
