Some animals are endangered or threatened, like whales, sharks, elephants, rhinoceroses, tigers, and sea turtles. These animals are poached (illegally killed) to sell their products like ivory, fur, horns, and fins. Many people in the U.S. buy these products. This bill will ban selling those parts in Oregon. There are some exceptions, like for law enforcement, scientific and education purposes, and some antiques. This will help protect these animals from extinction. People who already own the products are allowed to keep them. Other states have passed laws like this. This will help save endangered species.
